Security Essentials Screensaver

Sometimes you have to leave your computer inactive to do other more important things. While you're away, the computer might show a screensaver, basically continuing to work without doing anything productive.

Security Essentials Screensaver is a screensaver that scans your hard drive for viruses while your computer is inactive.

There are two screensaver modes: one with graphics and a progress bar (the normal screensaver), and another that's simpler (the one that ends with NG - no graphics).

Another great feature of this application is that it also updates its virus database when the screensaver is active.

Whenever you leave your computer for a while, Security Essentials Screensaver takes advantage of the downtime to protect the health of your hard drive.
